6 March 2025: Tropical Cyclone Alfred

As of 6th March 2025, Tropical Cyclone Alfred was classified as intensity category 2 by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology tropical cyclone warning centre.
It is projected to approach the southeast Queensland coast on Friday March 7th.

November 2024 Eruption: Indonesia’s Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki
Indonesia’s Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki continues to erupt, with increased activity this week resulting in ash plumes reaching 5.5kms in height.
Some travellers have been affected with some flight cancellations due to the ash cloud, and there have been some fatalities and injuries in the immediate vicinity of the volcano.

- Policies Purchased Between 1st January 2024 till 12:00am (AEDT) on 13th November 2024: Customers are covered for claims arising from this event, provided they purchased the natural disaster cover add-on.
- Policies Purchased After 12:00am (AEDT) on 13th November 2024: Customers are not covered for claims arising from this event, even if they purchased the natural disaster cover add-on. However, we will assess each situation on a case-by-case basis.
